Tanzanian Architects at The Groundwork Project 2016!

C-re-a.i.d. -Change -REsearch - Architecture -Innovation -Design, is fundraising for two Tanzanian future architects to join our summer program.
They will be involved in hands-on architecture projects and will get in touch with international student and practitioners. Our goal is to show to local architecture students a different point of view and way of acting.

Join us and contribute to make architecture accessible to everybody!

C-re-a.i.d. is a Tanzanian  registered NGO, active since 2012, that explores the possibilities of architecture within the goal of poverty reduction. This is accomplished by the different branches of C-re-aid, including fieldwork, organizing construction, empowering local craftsmen and receiving students of architecture, interior architecture, engineering, and product design.

During our summer programs, the Groundwork projects, we involve students of architecture in order to deepen their interest in social architecture and to make them realise that architecture is not a luxury tool but one that can be used everyday.
In 2016 we were able to formalize a partnership with Ardhi University, the Tanzanian School of Architecture. The School is selecting two of their students to be part of our summer program.
However, it is challenging for them to fundraise to cover the costs of a project and the student fee (that includes their accommodation during the two months of the project).

Until now we have been able to fully fund two of our Groundwork projects for 2016 thanks to our sponsors, who strongly believe in our work and our mission. They financed for project P 16.06 and P 16.04.
Now we have to fundraise 1300€ to cover for the two student fees.

Should we fail to do so, Tanzanian students' access to an alternative way of doing architecture will be limited by their financial resources.

That is why we are starting this crowd-funding campaign.

Join us and contribute to make architecture accessible to everybody!
